The floor and furniture are all made in a monochromatic concrete to avoid stealing the limelight of the colors and textures from the clothes exhibited.

A set of mirrors enlarges the space and replicates the repetitive effect of the wood tree; the modernist furniture was recovered from the forties. In the stairs, a color play keeps feng-shui philosophy in mind. All of these elements together make up the design of this avant-garde store.

Los acabados del espacio vestibular, el escritorio de la recepción, las gradas y el after o barra de bebidas están diseñados y construidos monolíticamente en concreto aparente. Del mobiliario escultórico destacan unas gradas en formas orgánicas inspiradas en el camuflaje militar que aporta movimiento al espacio.

The finishes in the lobby area, the reception desk, the steps, and the after area or juice bar are designed and built monolithically with exposed concrete. Amongst the sculptural furniture the steps with organic shapes–inspired by cammo prints– stand out and bring movement into the space. The interior design is complemented by industrial lighting and exposed installations, graphics in grayscale, details in red and black, furniture that plays with elements–such as steel tubes used to create benches in the dressing rooms, and red lighting for the workout room; all of these detonate the main concept: a dynamic and energetic design.

Caracterizado por sus cuartos de máquinas de ejercicio o red room con una iluminación roja tenue, espejos infinito y música envolvente, Barry’s Boot Camp recrea la energía que da un antro en el momento más eufórico de la noche.

El primer espacio mexicano de la franquicia de los Ángeles fundada en 1998 se localiza ahora en Santa Fe.

El proyecto es un local de dos pisos conectados por una escalera escultórica en lámina negra multiperforada y rodeada de acabados en lambrín de madera reutilizada, pisos de concreto pulido, latón espejo, maderas negras de encino y neones rojos. En planta baja te reciben los escaparates infinitos resueltos con espejos en el piso, el área de descanso y el fuel bar: una barra con todos los jugos. Al fondo están los baños y vestidores con losetas exagonales en el piso y losetas subway en los muros, los casilleros y llaves de lavabos rematan con detalles en latón.

En la parte alta está la recepción y el famoso red room, el lugar para sudarlo todo.

Cincuenta personas ocupan una oficina productora dentro de un edificio situado en Reforma-Palmas, una de las avenidas con mayor movimiento en la Ciudad de México

El programa de la torre está definido por su certificación LEED, la cual también condiciona las especificaciones de acabados y materiales para así garantizar una menor huella ecológica. Su recibidor escultórico de loseta cerámica tipo subway tile y el escaparate de contenido itinerante con temática de cine ofrece una vista previa de lo que ocurre al interior.

El recibidor es solo una parte del núcleo o hub que traza una jerarquía radial desde su centro. Este espacio nuclear tiene un programa polivalente. Aquí se encuentra un anfiteatro que puede aislarse con una cortina para proyectar películas y cortos o para realizar conferencias o entrevistas; contiguo a este espacio hay zonas para pequeñas reuniones o para descansar. El muro pizarrón nos evidencia una oficina de procesos creativos permanentes, con ideas abiertas y accesibles para todos. La barra nos remite a un café o bar y propicia una atmósfera de confiabilidad: los buenos tratos y las mejores conversaciones se dan en una barra.

Alrededor del hub, y cubierto de una losa nervada de concreto, está el espacio de las oficinas con mesas de trabajo; una doble altura nos imprime la sensación de abertura y amplitud. Alrededor se encuentran las oficinas privadas de dirección y subdirección, así como la sala de juntas, todas con ventanas que dan a la fachada. Las oficinas están divididas por muros de cristal y sus techos y pisos de madera tienen un despiece chevron o en espiga para diferenciarlos y generar un efecto de mayor privacidad en comparación al resto.

Los muebles, también de madera y herrería, contrastan con el concreto que predomina en el espacio a través de una interesante articulación con el programa arquitectónico del hub. Esta confrontación crea un rompimiento con el rígido estatismo de la oficina tradicional y resalta el dinamismo cinematográfico de la imagen en movimiento a partir de la conceptualización de los espacios.

Fifty people occupy a production office located inside a high-rise building in Reforma-Palmas, one of the most active avenues in Mexico City.

The design program of the tower is defined by its LEED Certification, which also determines the specifications for finishes and materials to guarantee a minor ecological footprint. Its sculptural lobby in subway ceramic tiles and its display with itinerant content on cinema gives a preview of what is happening inside.

The lobby is just a part of the heart or hub that traces a radial hierarchy from its center. This space has a multi-use program. For example, there is an amphitheater that can be isolated with the use of a curtain to watch movies or short-films, to have a conference or an interview; next to it there are areas for small meetings or for having a break. Here we also have the whiteboard wall, demonstrating that this is an office in a permanent creative process, with ideas that are open and accessible to everyone. The bar takes us to a cafe or a bar, it promotes an atmosphere of reliability: The best conversations and treatments take place in a bar.

Around the hub is the area of offices with worktables covered in ribbed concrete slabs; its high-ceilings transmit a feeling of openness and spaciousness. On the side of the building's façade, we have the private offices for directors and assistant directors, as well as the meetings room; all of which have windows facing the avenue. These offices are separated by glass walls; its wooden ceilings and floors have a chevron or herringbone arrangement to differentiate them and to create a stronger effect of privacy in comparison to the other spaces.

The furniture–also in wood and iron–contrasts with the predominant concrete of the space, producing an interesting dialogue with the architectural program of the hub. Such clash creates a rupture of the traditional office's rigid stillness and it highlights the cinematographic dynamism of motion pictures through the conceptualization of spaces.

As Futurist paintings did, the use of straight lines and the repetition of orthogonal volumes create the feeling of dynamism of this space, a spinning and indoors cycling gym-studio, Icycle Bosques. Here, the obviousness of curves as an idea of movement is disregarded.

Its high ceiling lobby can be seen from the façade, as well as the frequent circulation of users–a living display. The envelope made out of exposed concrete slabs and the wood with its matching geometry produce a texture and maintain the movement rhythm of the space. The project is complemented with a terrace and the classrooms are designed to give the user the energetic feeling of a nightclub.

Tal y como lo hicieran las pinturas del futurismo, el uso de líneas rectas y la repetición de volúmenes ortogonales crean una sensación dinámica en el espacio que prescinde de la obviedad de las curvas como idea de movimiento en este gimnasio-estudio de spinning e indoor cycling, Icycle Bosques.

Desde la fachada se pueden apreciar el vestíbulo de doble altura y las circulaciones concurridas pos sus usuarios a manera de escaparate viviente. La envolvente de aletas de concreto aparente y la madera con una geometría a juego logra dar textura y seguir el ritmo de movimiento de todo el espacio.

El proyecto se complementa con una terraza y los salones diseñados de tal modo que dan la sensación de la energía de una discoteca.

El movimiento es el concepto medular de Icycle, la franquicia de gimnasios-estudios de spinning e indoor cycling. En este caso se replica en Angelópolis el diseño y la disposición de un programa que refleja las actividades que los usuarios realizan en su interior.

Desde el acceso, la disposición espacial principia con las áreas más públicas y de mayor movimiento; gradualmente, hacia el interior, éstas se hacen más privadas hasta terminar con los salones de ejercicio al fondo. En la fachada es notable la barra de jugos: punto con mayor flujo de gente y ubicada junto a un área de estancia casual que a manera de gradería invita a sentarte, platicar, esperar o revisar tu celular. Este espacio inicial da paso al área de guardado y a las puertas ocultas que dan acceso a los salones.

Toda la iluminación es indirecta dando protagonismo al muro que forma un cinturón de aletas de concreto que abraza todo el local reafirmando la idea de una sensación de secuencialidad dinámica infinita.

Movement is the essential concept of Icycle–a franchise of spinning & indoor cycling studios and gyms. In this case, the branch in Angelopolis replicates the layout and design of a program that reflects the activities taking place inside.

Since entering, the spatial arrangement starts with the common areas, the ones with the largest flux of people; it gradually becomes more and more private towards the inside, ending with the exercise rooms. The juice bar is quite noticeable from the façade: it is the most transited point and it is right next to a casual lounging area consisting of steps that invites everyone to sit, chat, wait or check their phones. This entry space leads to the lockers and to the hidden doors that open to the cycling rooms.

The lighting is entirely indirect, highlighting the wall, with its series of concrete blades that hug the whole establishment and restates its idea to provide the feeling of infinite dynamic sequencing.

En la preexistencia de una de las primeras oficinas en Santa Fe, el rediseño del acceso principal y el lobby renuevan la imagen del edificio que data de los años noventa.

Para la remodelación se interviene la fachada para recrear una idea de permeabilidad con materiales simples y limpios. Por dentro, impera la madera en tonos nogal y el mármol arabescato. Toda la iluminación es indirecta pero visible desde la fachada de cristal remarcando la amplitud del espacio y las texturas de los materiales.

A project to redesign the main entrance and the lobby renewed the image of one of the first office buildings in Santa Fe, built during the nineties.

For its remodeling, the façade was intervened to recreate a sense of permeability with simple and clean materials. Inside, arabescato marble and wood in walnut hues dominate. The entire lighting is indirect, yet visible from the glass façade, emphasizing the broadness of the space and the textures of the materials.

La posibilidad escultórica que caracteriza un skatepark es llevado a un contexto de taller de diseño arquitectónico: un conjunto de rampas labradas en concreto donde el piso se convierte en muro, grada, escalera, proponiendo un ámbito totalmente contemporáneo en un estudio que sugiere desde su composición espacial, el dinamismo propio del ejercicio creativo.

Lo que parecen rampas de concreto pulido donde se pudiera patinar es en realidad un tipo de zoclo gigante que delimita el espacio de la oficina.

La línea difusa entre interior y exterior, y la estética urbana, dan clara idea de lo lúdico en los diseños que ahí se producen. Como contraste están los privados en madera.

El espacio se complementa con abundante vegetación endémica, muebles, objetos recuperados, cimbras recicladas, reliquias, instalaciones aparentes y anaqueles que muestran libros y maquetas de proyectos en proceso, como inspiración y muestrario de la creatividad de sus ocupantes.

The sculptural possibility of skateparks is taken into the context of an architecture design studio.

An ensemble of ramps carved in concrete–where the floor turns into the walls, a step, and stairs–suggests a contemporary environment inside a workshop that communicates, through its spatial composition, the dynamism of the creative practice.

What seem to be polished concrete ramps for skating are actually a type of enormous board that delimits the office space.

The diffused line between inside and outside and its urban aesthetic transmit the fun aspect of the designs created here. The private rooms, with their use of wood, are a contrast.

The space is complemented with abundant endemic plants, furniture, restored objects, recycled falsework, relics, exposed installations, and shelves displaying books and images of models of the projects under process–as inspiration and sample of the creativity of its occupants.

Inspirada en las tiendas de las grandes capitales de la moda del mundo, The feathered es una concept store localizada en el corazón de Polanco.

Prescindiendo de aparadores, la tienda logra invitarte a su interior protagonizado por un elemento estereotómico de madera que surge como columna para luego convertirse en el plafón dando profundidad y dinamismo a todo el local. Dentro del espacio, el piso y los muebles hechos todos de concreto coinciden en una monocromía para no restar protagonismo al color y texturas de la ropa exhibida.

Una serie de espejos multiplica el espacio y replican el efecto repetitivo del árbol de madera, el mobiliario es modernista y recuperado de los años cuarenta y un juego de colores en las escaleras del cambio de nivel teniendo en mente la filosofía del feng-shui son el conjunto de detalles que conforman el diseño de esta vanguardista tienda.
